New Story from Fellow MFAer

Chellis Ying, an MFA colleague of mine, had a story published recently, and I just wanted to give a shout out to her and her bright-blue hair (see photo at the end of her story).

I look forward to reading it, not just because we were in the same class, but because I like stories with “bean” in the title.

Read “Red Bean Soup” in Wild River Review.

Read and much enjoyed it. I like the way her story arched back and over on itself, coming back to certain moments and ideas. Also liked the conversation at Starbucks where nobody could quite communicate in the exact way they’d hoped to.

Wow, Gordon, thanks for the MONSTER shout out. And Armand, who I don’t know but was awfully pleased to see had read it. And Tavi, who told me that you had posted it on your site. I feel so special and that’s a difficult thing to feel for a struggling writer.

    Hope you’re well,
    Cy
